Questions, answered
Before you invite everybody.
How does the pricing work?
Hibachi is priced by the plate — every guest orders what they actually want (1 protein $40 · 2 proteins $50 · all three $60), with simple minimums: $300 for Date Night (up to 4), $850 for the Hibachi Showcase (up to 15), $400 for tray orders. Over 15 guests it flips to one flat $55/person with the full spread. Private chef dinners are set experiences — $750, $1,500 or $2,500 covering your first guests, with added guests at a flat rate. Extras always appear as their own line items on your quote, so you see exactly what you're paying for.
Do I provide plates, tables or chairs?
Hibachi shows include plates, utensils and napkins — you provide tables, chairs and décor. The Date Night Special (up to 4 guests) is the exception: tables, chairs, full table settings and décor touches are all included. Private chef and catering include the service pieces named in your quote.
How long will you be at my event?
Hibachi is about 2.5 hours including a ~90-minute show. The Private Table includes ~4 hours, The Chef's Table ~5, The KinGs Table up to 8. Catering is up to 3 hours (Set & Serve) or 4–5 (Royal Service). Setup happens before those windows.
What about allergies and dietary needs?
Tell us before your details lock (7 days out). We adapt many menus, but our kitchens and equipment handle common allergens — shellfish, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy and sesame — so we can't promise an allergen-free environment.
Can you serve alcohol?
The host supplies all alcohol. Any bartender or cocktail service is written on the quote (included on The KinGs Table). Hibachi includes a sake toast ritual — you provide the bottle, and there's a non-alcoholic option.
What if the weather makes hibachi unsafe?
We may adjust or remove flame effects when wind, fire restrictions, HOA/venue rules or the site make them unsafe, and cook safely where we can. Tell us about overhead cover, surfaces and rules before booking; guest tents aren't included.
How do payment and cancellation work?
A $200 deposit (25% over $2,500) holds the date and applies to your total; the balance is due 72 hours before. Cancel 15+ days out and only the deposit is forfeited; 7–14 days is 50%; under 7 days is 100%. One courtesy reschedule with 14+ days' notice, to a date within 90 days.
What if my guest count changes?
Your count and menu lock 7 days before. We shop and prepare for that number, and bill on the locked count or actual attendance — whichever is higher.
Will my event be filmed?
Not automatically. The KinGs Table includes a photographer and an edited film; for any other event, ask about adding capture when you book. We may ask permission to photograph our food and setup — you can decline without changing your service.
